What is Taker fee?

In short

The charge you pay when your order is filled straight away at the price shown.

A taker fee is the charge for taking liquidity from the order book. Your order fills immediately at the best price on offer, and the provider takes its cut of that trade, often as a percentage of the amount traded.

The spread across these brands is wide. Airtm charges 2% to 4%, the steepest here, and Ajaib charges 0.222%. Alpaca sits lower at 0.1% to 0.25%, while 2gether charges 0.6%. ActivTrades charges 0%, so nothing for the trade. Frequent traders feel a taker fee far more than occasional buyers, so the rate is worth checking before you trade often.
