What is Product fee?
In short
A charge for opening or arranging the product, separate from interest.
A product fee is a one-off charge for arranging a product. It sits apart from the interest rate, so two loans with the same rate can cost different amounts in total. 1822direkt charges no product fee on its building finance, and ABA Bank charges no product fee on its mortgage loan. ABN AMRO Zakelijk states €550 to €1,500 for its business mortgage, while Absa Mozambique states MZN 0 to MZN 12,000 on its home loan.
