What is Maximum loan to value?

In short

The most a lender will lend as a share of the property's value, leaving you to cover the rest.

Maximum loan to value is the ceiling on the mortgage a lender will give, expressed as a share of the property's value. The remainder is your deposit, plus any fees. A higher ceiling means less cash up front; a lower ceiling means a bigger deposit to find. 1822direkt lends up to 90%, the same ceiling as ABN AMRO Zakelijk at 90%. ABA Bank and Absa Mozambique both cap it lower at 80% and 80%.
