How to choose loans: fees, APR and the lender behind the quote

Choosing a loan means checking who ends up owning the debt, which account type the fee attaches to and what the APR costs over the term you need, and these three providers show how different those answers can be.

Start with who actually lends the money

All three providers in this guide are brokers, not the lender that ends up owning the debt. Cashspace operates as a broker through Fininity OU, Creduma ES through FINANSI GROUP, S.L., and Sofkredit through Kova Finance, S.L. That distinction decides who your money is owed to and who you complain to if something goes wrong, so read the contract rather than the brand name.

The credit check comes next. Cashspace runs a hard credit check, which is recorded on your file and can affect other borrowing. Creduma ES and Sofkredit both use a soft prequalification check first, so an indicative answer is possible without the full file being pulled. Sofkredit also requires applicants to be of legal age, hold Spanish nationality or residence, and keep a bank account. The Cashspace review and the Sofkredit review set out the same details provider by provider.

Fees, and which account type they attach to

An origination fee of 0 comes with Cashspace personal, payday and credit line lending, so the same headline applies across three different account types. Creduma ES records a product fee of €0 and states there are no advance commissions and no initial payments, with charges appearing only when a real solution is obtained.

Neither entry is the whole cost of borrowing. Both are the easy number to quote, and both describe the price of getting an answer. The figure that decides the bill is the interest rate applied to the amount you draw and the length of time you keep it, which is the subject of the next section.

APR and the rate sitting underneath it

Sofkredit publishes an APR of 10.74% to 18.06% and an APRC of 10.74% to 18.06%, with an initial rate of 8% to 14%. Cashspace works to an APR of PHP 12 to PHP 36. Compare the figure that matches your amount and your term rather than the most attractive headline.

Spread across the listings in our data, interest rates run 0% to 82,901.36%. That span is the reason two quotes can both look reasonable on paper and still leave you paying very different sums. A worked comparison: take the same borrowing need, run it at Cashspace on its published rate, and at Sofkredit on both the initial rate and the APR, then compare what is repaid at the end.

How much, and for how long

Loan size sets the ceiling. Cashspace lends PHP 500 to PHP 25,000, Creduma ES lends from €12,000 and Sofkredit lends €12,000 to €300,000. Term does the rest: Cashspace runs 2 to 4, while Sofkredit offers fixed periods of 0.5 to 20 for its longer lending.

Two providers can offer similar rates and repay very different totals purely on timing. Cashspace's own representative example shows a short loan repaid over a few months costing more than the sum advanced once interest and charges are added. For context, amounts across the listings in our data run €1.75 to €4,384,811.01 and repayment terms run 1 to 480, so a short consumer loan and a long property loan belong in separate comparisons, not one list.

Who can actually qualify

Each provider narrows who it will lend to. Cashspace works with applicants in the Philippines who can show a valid ID. Creduma ES deals with secured property lending in Spain: residents of adult age whose own home stands as collateral under a mortgage guarantee, and the products on offer are secured loans and debt consolidation aimed at remortgage and home equity purposes. Sofkredit accepts individuals or businesses of legal age in Spain, with Spanish nationality or residence and an existing bank account. For its mortgage backed lending, the property has to be owned by the applicant and must either carry no charges or already have most of the mortgage cleared.

All three accept applicants with a poor credit history, so a thin file is not a reason to stop after the first quote. It is a reason to widen the list and lean on the property or savings side of the application instead.

Speed, access and support after signing

Timing differs sharply. Cashspace offers same day funding alongside a credit line, releases funds within minutes and says most approved applicants receive the money the same day. Creduma ES gives an offer in under a day, with money in the account within a week of signing. Sofkredit also offers same day funding, but pays out a couple of weeks after approval, or on the notary signing day, and about a week when documentation goes in quickly.

Support is worth a line in any comparison. Creduma ES lists email and phone, while Cashspace lists email, a help centre and a community. Those channels matter most after the first payment, when a question about fees or an early settlement is harder to sort out.

Put the pieces together in one pass

A workable order runs: confirm which entity lends the money, then the account type and the fee attached to it, then the rate against the term, then eligibility and payout speed, then support. Working in that sequence stops a low headline rate from hiding an upfront charge or a hard credit search.

Use the Loans rankings to see how wide the field is, then read the Creduma ES review next to the other two, since it is the only entry here built on secured property lending. The same sequence applies to other markets in the same field, including Solcredito MX and Prestamiau.
